Martin senior Faith Guritz has been named to the Division 4 all-state girls’ basketball team by the Associated Press.

Guritz was a four-year starter for the Lady Clippers and she was the leading scorer and rebounder on a team that fashioned a 22-1 record overall, won the Southwest Athletic Conference Lakeshore Division championship and captured a district title before the season was cut short by the threat of the Coronavirus.

Guritz, a 5-foot-10 senior forward, reached the 1,000-point plateau and led Martin to its best season in more than a decade. She averaged 12.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.8 steals, 1.6 assists and 0.7 blocks per game, while shooting 37 percent from three-point range.

She was named last week to the second unit of the Kalamazoo area “Dream Team” without regard to divisions.
