Wayland High School graduate Molly Lameyer has come back home to take the athletic secretary’s position.
Lameyer, perhaps best known as an all-state volleyball and basketball players for the Lady Wildcats, graduated from from Davenport University in 2016 and appears to be uniquely qualified for the job. While at Davenport she earned a number of athletic and academic honors.
She named to the Midwest all-region team in 2015 by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She finished second in the Wolverine-Hoosier Conference in hitting percentage and third in total kills in 40 matches played. Lameyer led the team with 3.11 kills per set while also finishing fourth on the team with 73 blocks.
Not surprisingly, she was selected to the first unit of the All-Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference volleyball team and was named to the WHAC All-Academic team.
Lameyer, a Wildcat standout in basketball and volleyball who graduated in 2012. She was a post player on the Wayland team that became the first in school history since 1989 to win the regional championship.
