Nicole Bush, three-time state champion in high school cross-country and national champion in the steeplechase in NCAA competition, now has one more honor to add to her considerable stash of accolades.

Michigan State University has announced she is one of nine MSU athletes this year to be inducted into the school’s hall of fame.

Nicole Bush earned seven All-American honors as a Spartan. She also won a pair of individual Big Ten championships, capturing the 2008 cross country title and the 2009 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Bush has been a guest at Wayland Road Runners Club, founded by her Kelloggsville high school coach, Ray Antel, who now is retired from the classroom, but is cross-country and girls’ track coach at Wayland High School. Bush is in the top middle of the cover photo.
