Nicole Bush misses in 2nd bid to be in Olympic Games

Nicole Bush, who was a frequent guest with the Wayland Road Runners summer group and all-state cross-country runner for current Wayland harriers’ coach Ray Antel at Kelloggsville, lost her bid to be in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro next month. Bush, who was national collegiate champion in the steeplechase for Michigan State University, finished near the back of the pack in the U.S. Olympic trails Thursday evening. She narrowly missed an Olympic bid in 2012 by finishing fourth.
