O-K Gold Conference gains 4 schools, loses 4 schools

The O-K Gold Conference in the academic year 2024-25 will welcome four new schools and bid four others adieu.

Staying in the Gold will be Wayland, South Christian, Middleville Thornapple Kellogg and Forest Hills Eastern. Three O-K Blue schools will be moving to the O-K Gold, including Hamilton, Holland Christian and Unity Christian. Holland High also joins the new conference.

Leaving the conference are Kenowa Hills and Cedar Springs to the O-K Black, Ottawa Hills and Grand Rapids Catholic Central to the O-K Blue.

Wayland and South Christian are the only schools to stay in the Gold ever since the conference was created almost 40 years ago.

The O-K Conference every few years undergoes an evaluation process that determines who will play where based on population and sometimes geography for realignment.
