George D. Hall, 88 of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Nov. 16.
Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, he attended the Ontario School for the Deaf, and the Kendall School of Art and Design. He enjoyed creating art and he was one of the first deaf pilots in the state of Michigan. He worked for Lear Siegler (Smith Industries GE Aviation) for 32 years before retiring.
He is survived by his sisters, Dolores Evans of Florida, and Francis Dulude of St. Josephs Island Ontario, his sons, Mark S. (Margaret) Hall, Thomas J. Hall, Roger L. Hall, Wayne W. (Juanita) Hall, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Jennie (Diekman) Hall, second wife Shirley J. (Elliot) Hall, and granddaughter, Jessica Hall.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, and funeral will follow at 11 at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St., S.E. in Cutlerville.
