Hopkins girls claim 1st victory of basketball season

The Hopkins girls’ basketball team registered its first victory of the season Monday night by defeating visiting Wyoming Lee 60-14. The game was a makeup of a contest snowed out on Jan. 9. Hopkins’ boys’ basketball team Monday evening claimed its third straight triumph after that 0-5 start to the season, and in the process now owns a 2-0 record in the latest O-K Silver Conference standings.
