Several athletes from Hopkins and Wayland competed in the Michiana Timing Metro Health Scholarship Invitational Tuesday at Comstock Park High School.

Wayland had two Wildcats place in their events: Kennedy Jasinski went 9-9 in the pole vault and tied for seventh and Breanna Hyde was timed at 17.56 seconds in the 100-meter high hurdles, finishing eighth.

For Hopkins, Grace Brenner threw a personal best 37-1, for second in the shot put; leaped Sierra Emaus 14-7.5 and tied for eighth in the long jump; Kambria Moored, was clocked at 49.28 for fifth in the 300 intermediate hurdles; Mason Tomes tossed the shot 47-10 for fourth, and Logan Klinge cleared 12-9 for fourth in the pole vault.
