Slow start dooms Hopkins girls in loss at Comstock

Hopkins suffered its second girls’ basketball loss of the season in as many tries at Comstock Tuesday evening, 72-53,

The Lady Vikings got off to a horribly slow start and fell behind 25-7 by the end of the first quarter. The two teams played virtually evenly the rest of the way.
Hopkins was led by Meghan Schulz with 16 points, sophomore Kennedy Helderop chipped in 12 and freshman Evangelina Helderop added 10.The Colts were led by led by Daisy Ansel with 26 points and Ahkyla Blakely with 14.

The Lady Vikings will return to action next Tuesday against Comstock Park.
