The Hopkins varsity football squad was honored at the conclusion of its 9-2 season that included the O-K Silver Conference title and a post-season playoff victory. The award is given by the Arnsmans in memory of their eldest son, who was the star halfback on the 1972 Viking team, but later died in an auto accident.
