Smith, Haveman earn Mark Arnsman scholarships

The last two winners of the annual Mark Arnsman Memorial Scholarship award, Nolan Smith (left) and Ryan Haveman (right are shown here with Lee Dale (Pete) and Peggy Rose Arnsman. The Hopkins varsity football squad was honored at the conclusion of its 9-2 season that included the O-K Silver Conference title and a post-season playoff victory. The award is given by the Arnsmans in memory of their eldest son, who was the star halfback on the 1972 Viking team, but later died in an auto accident.
