Perennial volleyball 
powerhouse Grand Rapids South Christian swept Wayland Thursday night, but the scores of two of the three games indicated a struggle.
The Sailors prevailed 27-25, 25-13 and 25-20 at the Wildcats’ den, in an event highlighted by “Gridiron Giving,” a fund-raiser on behalf of the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
Statistically, Sydney Ritz had 10 kills, Taryn Coughlin three serving aces, Leigha Morse 17 assists and Lyndie VanMalsen 11 digs.
The loss evened the Lady Wildcats’ O-K Gold Conference record at 2-2.
