Martin’s first-ever season as an eight-man football team came to an end Saturday afternoon at Colon in the second round of the playoffs.

The Clippers lost 56-12 to perhaps the best eight-man team in the entire state. The Magi have been beating up all of their opponents badly all fall and will head into the next round with an overall recored of 11-0. The Clippers finished at 10-1 and were league champions.

Martin trailed only 20-12 at halftime, but Colon went on a 36-0 run for the last 24 minutes of the ballgame.
