Wayland High School’s Mallory Teunissen officially received her Miss Softball Pitcher award at the state-wide all-star game this summer. Presenting the award is the president of the Michigan Softball Coaches Association, Tom Calnen of Troy. Teunissen, who obviously was all-state pitcher in Division 2, will hurl next year for Davenport University and will join old Wildcat teammates Haley Obetts, Brit McLain, Samantha Merren and her twin sister, Morgan, who was all-state honorable mention as a first sacker.
