The Wayland varsity softball team, still ranked No. 1 in the latest statewide Class B poll, improved its overall season record to 19-1 with two victories over Hastings Wednesday in a makeup doubleheader postponed by Tuesday’s rain.
Mallory Teunissen and Morgan Winger both threw no-hitters at the Saxons. The Lady Wildcats remain undefeated in the O-K Gold Conference and next week will be shooting for yet another league championship with a twin bill Tuesday afternoon on the road against South Christian. This Saturday morning, they will compete in the Centreville Tournament.
