Wayland Union Schools joined districts across Allegan County Wednesday to celebrate excellence at the annual Outstanding People for Education and Board Recognition Awards.
This year’s winners recognized were Autumn Bonte, athletic administrative assistant, Erin Koopman, intervention specialist, and Steve Wright, bus driver. Members of The Wayland Board of Education honored for their continued commitment to learning and leadership through the Michigan Association of School Boards were Theresa Dobry, Level 3 Award of Distinction; Jeff Koon, Level 1 Certified Board Member and Level 2 Award of Merit, and Erin Stepek, Level 1 Certified Board Member & Level 2 Award of Merit.
