Three members of the Martin girls’ basketball teams and another three from Hopkins boys’ basketball team have been named all-conference selections.
At Hopkins, it was a sweep for the Weber family, as senior Drew, junior Colin and freshman Mady all won the accolades. Senior Tyler
Zomerlei also was chosen for the first unit of the all-O-K Silver Conference team. Point guard Evangelina Helderop also was an all-league selection.
The Viking boys shared the league title with Calvin Christian and NorthPointe Christian and finished with an overall record of 14-7. The Lady Vikings wound up 12-9 overall.
Martin girls won the Southwest Athletic Conference Lakeshore Division crown outright, going 9-1, with their only loss to
Gobles, which they avenged in the regular season finale. Earning first team all-league honors were seniors Faith Guritz, Jaclyn Hildebrand and Kiaya Warner.
The Lady Clippers had their overall season halted with a 22-1 record as they prepared for a regional final contest against St. Joseph Michigan Lutheran.
