Two doubles teams win, but ‘Cats drop 6-2 match to Otsego

The Wayland High School boys’ varsity tennis team lost 6-2 to Otsego Tuesday in a non-league match.

Winning for the Wildcats:

• No. 3 doubles, with freshman Elijah Kincaid and sophomore, Mark Musgrave, who defeated junior Eli Saucedo and freshman, Dylan Chandler  6-2, 3-6, (10-7).

No. 4 doubles, with freshman Nolan Ritz and  freshman Andrew Murphy, who defeated junior Aiden Hopkins and junior Isaac Harter,  6-0, 6-4.

The Wildcats, coached by Cheri Ritz, now are 1-2 on the season overall. They will begin their O-K Gold Conference season Monday against Wyoming.
