The Davenport University women’s bowling team, which features Wayland High School graduates Kadence Bottrall and Bella Harnish, took fifth place among 35 teams at the Midwest Collegiate Championships Tier I tournament this past weekend. Having placed in the top eight, the Panthers went on to bracket match play. There they went against number 4 seed Coe College. It was a close match that came down to the 10th frame. Harnish is a sophomore and Bottrall a freshman. The two came within a whisker of facing each other in the final round of the individual Division 2 state championship in 2022.
