Two Viking lads to compete in state bowling tourney

Hopkins boys’ varsity bowling team members Jonathan Ryan (left) and Brenden Gossman have qualified, along with their regional champion varsity boys’ bowling team for the state championships next weekend in Muskegon. The two Viking lads tied for third place Saturday in the Division 3 regional individual competition at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek. Both the Hopkins girls’ and boys’ teams will compete for the state championship as well, the boys emerging as regional champions and the girls finishing third.
