Hopkins’ boys’ basketball team Monday evening claimed its third straight triumph after that 0-5 start to the season, and in the process now owns a 2-0 record in the latest O-K Silver Conference standings.
The Vikings had no trouble subduing visiting Wyoming Lee 51-15 in a makeup of a snowed out ballgame from Jan. 9. They are now 3-5 overall on the season.
Seniors Ryan Pierce and Tyler Schulz shared individual scoring honors with 11 points apiece. Matthew Haaksma also broke into double figures with 10 points and Jake Sytsma contributed eight.
Pierce also dished out six assists.
Eddie Wesley scored eight points for the Rebels.
Hopkins will back on the home court at 7 p.m. tonight to entertain Sparta in a non-league contest.
