The Hopkins boys’ varsity basketball team dropped a 71-55 decision Tuesday night to O-K Silver Conference rival Grandville Calvin Christian.

The loss left the Vikings with a 3-9 overall record for the season.

The Hopkins girls lost on the road to the Squires by a 48-36 count. The Lady Vikings now are 6-9 overall and 4-5 in conference play.

The Wayland girls hiked their overall season record to 9-5 Tuesday evening with a 64-17 romp on the home court against Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills. Their record in the O-K Gold Conference now is 6-3.

The Wildcats boys’ record overall sank to 3-10 with an 83-52 loss to Ottawa Hills on the road.
