Viking graduate is MIAA grid player of the week

Hopkins High School graduate Trevor Smith (0) was recognized as MIAA Player of the Week for helping Albion College register a season-ending triumph over Calvin.

Smith, who was the starting quarterback at Hopkins High School in his prep years, hauled in one touchdown pass from Britons’ QB Luke Lovell, had 130 yards receiving and scored a rushing TD.

The son of Darrin and Julie Eastman Smith of Hopkins, he was announced today as a first team selection on the all-MIAA team.

He has been a receiver in college, just like his older brother, Nolan, who payed for Concordia University. Trevor Smith is closing out his collegiate career. Albion finished with a 6-3 record.
