The Hopkins boys’ varsity golf team placed third among the four O-K Silver Conference teams competing in the latest league jamboree Friday at the Orchard Hills Golf Course.
The Vikings recorded a team score of 201, six strokes better than Kelloggsville. North Point Christian won with a score of 170 and Calvin Christian was runner-up at 193.
Hopkins had two of its team members crack the individual top 10. Coleton Billings tied for third with a nine-hole score of 46. Chris Heath was sixth with a 49.
Kelloggsville’s Larry Robinson carded a 44 to capture individual medalist honors.
Neither Wyoming Lee nor Wyoming Godwin Heights fielded a team for the meet.
