The Hopkins boys’ varsity basketball team tried to slow things down Tuesday night against the No. 1 Class B basketball team in Michigan.

The Vikings did not attempt a field goal throughout the first two and a half minutes of the contest and then fell behind 15-0 to Wyoming Godwin Heights. The Wolverines were able to register their 16th victory this season without a loss by turning back Hopkins 75-54.

Hopkins was led is scoring by senior Justin Weick and freshman Drew Weber. Marquis Hastings led Godwin.

The loss left the Vikings with a 7-9 record overall and 5-4 in the O-K Silver Conference.
