Vikings suffer 5th consecutive defeat in 15-8 loss to Calvin Christian

The Hopkins varsity football team reached its nadir under coach Cody Francis Friday night with a 15-8 defeat at the hands of O-K Silver Conference opponent Grandville Calvin Christian.

The loss was the Vikings’ fifth straight, a statistic rarely associated with Hopkins football. The victory for the Squires was their first this season.

Calvin Christian trailed 8-7 before coming back to win it with a touchdown and two-point conversion.

Hopkins, now 1-5 for the season, will play at Montague next Friday night.
