The Hopkins boys’ varsity soccer team took a 1-0 thriller from Belding Thursday evening in an O-K Silver Conference encounter.

Cole Bergman scored on a free kick in the second overtime session for the Vikings to provide the margin of victory.

The triumph avenged a 3-1 defeat at Belding earlier in the season.

Hopkins now is 3-4 in league play this season and 5-6 overall.
