The Wayland High School varsity football game at East Grand Rapids will be moved to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, instead of the customary 7 p.m.
Last Friday’s contest at home against Middleville Thornapple Kellogg took place at 5 p.m.
Once again, the reason for the earlier starting time has much to do with health concerns associated with encephalitis (EEE). Health officials suggest the mosquitoes that carry the disease will be out in larger numbers after the dun goes down.
