Athletic physicals that were scheduled for Aug. 6 have been canceled at Metro Health because of the COVID-19 health crisis.The Wayland High School Athletic Department has reported it also reached out to Spectrum Health and was told it is not doing school physicals this year for the same reasons.
Student athletes who had a physical on file last year do not need a new physical if they fill out the MHSAA Health Questionnaire for 2020-2021. They can find this file at the MHSAA website or on the forms section of the athletic website.
A spokesperson for the athletic department said, “We apologize for this inconvenience and we should learn more about fall sports at the end of the month when the MHSAA makes its statement.”
