WHS foreign exchange student makes state quarterfinals

Elena Campon, Wayland High School’s foreign exchange student this year from Spain, won two matches at the Division 2 state tennis finals Saturday at Hope College before finally losing in the quarterfinal round to eventual champion Sloane Teske of East Grand Rapids. As a result, she was accorded all-state honors.
