WHS grad Ali Martus part of record-breaking golf team

Ali Martus

Ali Martus, a 2016 graduate of Wayland High School, was a part of record-setting performance in women’s golf for Northwood University last fall.

Northwood’s final round total of 299 and 36-hole total of 607 in October are new school records. The old 18 record was 305, which the Timberwolves had shot three times. The 36-hole school record was 610 in 2017

Martus shot an: 81-77=158, tied for 40th in the tournament and fifth on her team.

Martus was an all-state performer for Wayland in the sport while in high school and she was a starting guard for three years in basketball. She is a senior this year at Northwood and in 2018 was named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference all-academic team.
