Wayland High School graduate Ali Martus, a junior at Northwood University, recorded a two-day golf score of 78 and 89 for a 167 at a tournament last weekend at Grand Valley State Univerity.
Martus, an all-state performer during her high school career at Wayland is second on the Timberwolves’ team with an 18-hole average of 82.4. Also while at Wayland, she set the school record for low score and 13 consecutive sub-40 nine-hole rounds.
Martus also was a star basketball player for the Lady Wildcats.
