Former Wayland High School pitching ace Emma Ludema currently ranks 17th in the nation among NCAA Division III schools in the category of ratio of walks to strikeouts at 8.83 to 1. Ludema usually pitches in the nightcaps of Calvin University’s doubleheaders and she tossed a one-hit shutout at MIAA rival Albion.
