WHS grad guides Colorado C-C team to 4th straight trip to state

Robert W. Young, a 2003 graduatRams honor Robbye of Wayland High School, (with medal) is being hoisted by his team here rather than doused with Gatorade. His Rampart High School Rams of Colorado Springs had just earned their fourth consecutive trip to the state cross-country championships by taking second place in the regionals without their No. 1 runner, Ben Dingman, who was injured. Rampart also has won four consecutive conference championships under Young’s guidance. The girls’ team also qualified for the state meet by finishing fourth in the regionals, despite coming into the meet seeded seventh. Young was an all-state cross-country runner at Wayland and an NCAA Division II All-American for Grand Valley State University in 2008. (Photo courtesy of Sarah Young)

OUTTSTANDING! Great job Mr. Young the younger. The article fails to say Robby is one heck or a runner who has won several Marathons.
