Lacey James, a 2015 graduate of Wayland High School, is averaging 5.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game as a 6-9 forward for Northern Illinois University this season. James, an all-state selection in his senior year and a key member of the quarterfinals team when he was a junior, was a three-year starter for the Wildcats. He signed to attend and play at Rider University, but transferred to Northern Illinois and now is regarded as a sophomore for the Huskies, who play in the Mid-American Conference.
