Wayland High School graduate Lacey James is a starting sophomore forward this season at Northern Illinois University. James, a three-year Wildcat starter who helped Wayland win conference, regional and district championships, is averaging 8.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Huskies. His best game thus far has been a 20-point and 14-rebound performance against Ohio University Jan. 5. Interestingly, he is hitting his free throws, his Achilles Heel in high school, at a clip of 68.8%.
