Wayland High School junior Seth Sevenski-Popma was Michigan flag bearer during the opening ceremony of the State Games of America Friday night at VanAndel Arena in Grand Rapids. Sevenski-Popma, a member of the Wildcats’ track and field team as a sophomore last spring, has suffered from and overcome two brain tumors in the last four years.
