Wayland High School senior Christian Look has signed a letter of intent to play hockey for Aquinas College in Grand Rapids.

Head coach Jordan Permoda, himself a Wayland High School graduate, said it was the Saints’ first signing for hockey for the 2021 recruiting class.

Look has been playing hockey for 13 years and has spent seven years playing AAA hockey for Fox Motors Hockey Club in the TIEHL He currently plays for Fox Motors 18U AAA. He has helped his squads to a Tier 1 championship and a state finals appearance. Look also has played two years of varsity golf while at Wayland Union.

A 5’9” right-handed defenseman, he will have a chance to make an impact on the Saints’ blueline early on.

“We are really excited to get Christian,” sai Permoda. “He’s an elite level skater and will make an impact to our defensive corps right away. We have been working with the Look family for a couple years now, all the while watching him develop within Fox Motors AAA hockey club. It’s been a great process and this is an exciting next step.”

Look aid, “I chose Aquinas because of the campus, location, business program and hockey.” He added, “I am most excited about playing hockey for the next four years with a great program.”
