Wayland High School graduate Eddie Seymour finished 10th Saturday in the men’s 10-kilometer race of the annual Firth Third River Bank Run.
Seymour, who was valedictorian of the Wayland High School Class of 2008, finished the 10K race with a time of 38:38. He was a top runner for the Wildcats, qualifying for the state meet under the tutelage of coach Steve Harcourt.
Today, Seymour is a certified public accountant with assurance staff at EY in Grand Rapids. He formerly was with Wolverine World Wide and Plante & Moran.
He graduated magna cum laude in 2012 from Aquinas College, where he was an Academic All-American in cross country and track.
While at Wayland, he was founder and president of a city-wide youth volunteer organization.
