It was not a good night Friday at Grand Rapids South Christian High School for the Wayland boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams.
The boys lost 52-43 and their overall season record slipped to 5-7, 2-4 in the completion of the first round of play in the O-K Gold Conference.
Earlier in the evening, the Lady Wildcats fell 72-45 to a Sailors’ outfit that now is 10-2 overall. Wayland’s record fell to 2-4 in the league and 3-9 overall.
Further details were not available.
The girls will be at home Tuesday evening to face Byron Center. The boys will take on the Bulldogs away at the same time in nonleague contests.
