The Wayland boys’ bowling squad was defeated 28-2 Wednesday this evening by O-K Gold Conference rival South Christian.

Wayland posted Baker games of 139 and that definitely won’t win any games. Alex Marble marked in all four of his frames with three strikes and one spare.

South bowled well in its first game and had 913 to the Wildcats’ 781. Bowling well for Wayland was anchor Dillon Smith with a fine 210 game, Alex Marble 171, and Dylan Roberts 170.

In the second game South Christian showed some mercy by subbing in four out of five jayvee players after being up 19-0 at that point. Wayland could only muster two points as three Sailor JV players beat Wayland varsity opponents. High game again was anchor Dillon Smith with a 188.

“We are definitely struggling and have some work to do, but we will do our best to get there,” said coach Sherry Miklusicak.
