The Wayland boys’ varsity tennis team Tuesday lost 7-1 to Plainwell in a non-conference dual match.
The only winner for the Wildcats was Triston Richards, who scored a three-set 4-6, 7-6 (7-4) (10-4) decision at No. 4 singles. His season record now is 5-2 overall.
Wayland will play today (Wednesday, Sept. 12) against Wyoming in its second O-K Gold Conference dual match of the season. The team has won one dual match and tied two this fall.
