The dual meet victories keep piling up for the Wayland boys, as they defeated Kenowa Hills 89-39, Ottawa Hills 105-23 and South Christian 80-48 Tuesday in an O-K Gold Conference quad meet.

The Wildcat girls won 65-59 over South Christian, but lost to Kenowa 88-40 and Ottawa Hills 68-55.

Sprinting star Ian Thompson again dominated in the 100 at 10.83 seconds and 22.29 in the 200. Kaharrie Pureifoy was third in the 200. Thompson anchored the winning 400-meter relay in 43.95 seconds with Austin Graham, Pureifoy and Cam Mouketou. Pureifoy, Aidan Reeder, Graham and Thompson took the 800 relay in 1:32.98.

Though Devin Weaver ran a personal best 2:03.82 in the open 800, he lost by a half second. He was first in the 1600 at 4:50.03 and teammate Travis Koon was third.

Carson Noyes came though with the win in the shot put at 46-9 and teammate Bronson Huyck was runner-up at 43-1. He and freshman Adam Huff went 2-3 in the discus.

Pureifoy was second in the long jump, as was Graham in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Freshman Kennedy Jasinski highlighted the girls’ meet by registering a winning personal best 10-4 in the pole vault.

Breanna Hyde finished second in the long jump and third in the 100-meter high hurdles and the 300 intermediates.

Karley Davis was third in the shot and in the discus. Emma Byers was third in the high jump.

The Wildcat boys will be heading into the O-K Gold Conference meet undefeated in dual meets Friday at Houseman Field in Grand Rapids.
