The game had been postponed twice this week, but the Wayland boys’ varsity basketball team finally played at Forest Hills Eastern Thursday evening, only to come up two points short, 65-63.
The verdict left both of the O-K Gold Conference rivals with 6-i7 overall records for the season.
The game originally was postponed from Tuesday and Wednesday evenings because of inclement weather.
It doesn’t get any easier for the Wildcats, as Friday they’ll take on one of the league leaders, South Christian.
