The Wayland boys’ varsity tennis team ran into the two of the best O-K Gold Conference squads last week and Monday, losing by identical 8-0 scores to Forest Hills Eastern and East Grand Rapids.
Winning two games for the Wildcats against East Grand Rapids were :#3 singles Christian Sieffert, #4 singles Jackson Chesley, #2 doubles Brady Atwell/Dawson Merice, and #3 doubles Elijah Kincaid/Andrew Murphy.
Winning games for the Wildcats against Forest Hills were Jose Daniel-Garcia at #3 singles, Jackson Chesley at #4 Singles, and Elijah Kincaid and Andrew Murphy at #3 doubles.
Wayland, now 2-4 overall on the season, will play Grand Rapids Christian Wednesday afternoon at the Gainey Complex.
