The Wayland High School varsity boys’ bowling team Wednesday defeated Grand Rapids Christian 27-3.
“We had a great practice yesterday as we went back to focusing on basics. The boys were focused and determined,” said coach Sherry Miklusicak, “Grand Rapids Christian showed up with only four boys tonight as many of their varsity players were overseas on vacations associated with their school or had internships.”
Christian Courser, Mark Musgrave III, Joe Laidler, Jarod Geerligs, and Dillon Smith combined for the Wildcats’ best Baker game and Baker series so far this year to start the evening. The first game was a 179 while the second was 200. Mark Musgrave III marked in all fou. of his frames!
Wayland swept the first match with Anchor Dillon Smith leading the pack with a 212 game.
The second match was led by Sophomore Alan Begg’s 199 game.
