WHS soccerThe Wayland boys’ varsity soccer team lost a 3-2 heart-breaker in overtime Tuesday night to Wyoming.

The loss dropped the Wildcats’ record to 2-6-1 overall and 1-3 in the O-K Gold Conference.

“A hard fought Tuesday evening brought with it the first overtime sessions of the season for the Wildcats and unfortunately a late goal in the second overtime would be their downfall,” said coach Ben Sleeman.

Chuck Wroblewski and Tristen Ortiz both scored for the Wildcats in the loss, while keeper Jake Larsen made eight saves.

The Wildcats will resume league play at Forest Hills Eastern Thursday evening.
