Lady Viking Corrie Wisser thinks about shooting over Sparta’s zone defense.

Though the Lady Wildcats won their game at Kenowa Hills Friday night, the Wayland boys’ scheduled contest against the Knight was postponed for Covid-related reasons.

The Wayland boys remain at 2-2 and will play Ottawa Hills Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, the Hopkins girls’ basketball team absorbed its fourth straight defeat, 59-38, to O-K Silver Conference rival Sparta. The Lady Vikings trailed 17-11 and 31-22 after the first two period stops and never recovered.

Martin’s boys’ squad, which got off to a rocky start this season, captured its first victory, 52-42, over Hackett Catholic Central.
