Football fans would have to say Friday night’s Wayland game at Grand Rapids Catholic Central turned out better than expected.
The host Cougars, defending state champion, claimed a 49-14 at Wayland’s expense, but they’ve beaten others by more lopsided scores.
Catholic Central’s record improved to 6-0 on the season this year and the verdict marked the team’s 18th consecutive victory, stretching back to early in the 2019 season.
Wayland, meanwhile, now is 0-6 overall and will travel to Cedar Springs next Friday evening.
