Wildcats shut out in 42-0 drubbing at GR South Christian

The Wayland High School varsity football team absorbed its third loss this season without a victory Friday night in a 42-0 drubbing at the hands of host South Christian.

It was the first O-K Gold Conference contest for the ‘Cats, Earlier this year they lost to Kenowa Hills and to Lansing Waverly.

Wayland will be back on the home field this Friday at 7 p.m. to take on a Middleville Thornapple Kellogg team that has started with a 1-2 record after making the playoffs in 2018.
